About Us

Step2 UK Ltd has it's administration centre in Bolton, Greater Manchester and a distribution centre located close by in Wigan. Having a distribution centre located just off the M6 and one which is close to Liverpool and other northern ports, enables us to receive goods from America in the quickest possible time and distribute around the UK without any delay. Step2 UK Ltd is wholly owned by The Step2® Company, LLC, headquartered in Streetsboro, Ohio, who are the largest American manufacturer of preschool and toddler toys and the world's largest rotational molder of plastics.

We believe toys should be quality products that are not only designed to be fun for all but also last a lifetime too.

History

Thomas G. Murdough, Jr., the founder and former president (1969-1989) of The Little Tikes Company founded Step2® on a basic philosophy of quality, value and service backed by a commitment to customer satisfaction. Based on [the value of rotational molding], he pioneered the use of rotational molding in the consumer products market.

Step2® management began operations in 1991 with five employees and has grown to its present 800-plus full-time employees.

Facilities

Step2® boasts two large US plants in northern Ohio, one in Streetsboro and one in Perrysville. Step2® products are distributed to select retailers throughout the US, Canada, and over 70 other countries.

Step2®, in partnership with Case Western Reserve University's Schubert Center for Child Studies, sponsors CreativePlayPlus.com, an online resource to provide parents with the latest research on creative play and child development.
